• New Wicomico library branch holds grand opening and ribbon cutting in Parsonsburg (wboc.com) — A brand-new Lewis R. Riley library branch has opened on Parsonsburg Road, giving Parsonsburg residents local access to books, computers, meeting rooms, and future programs without driving into Salisbury. The long-awaited replacement for the old trailer-based Eastern Wicomico branch will offer services like copying, faxing, a planned memory lab, and family-friendly events such as outdoor story times by the fire pit.
   

• Delmarva Chicken Association awards $30,000 in scholarships (wattagnet.com) — One of Delmarva Chicken Association’s new scholarship winners is Madeline Tomlinson of Parsonsburg, who plans to study marine science at St. Mary’s College of Maryland. She’s among 15 students across the region sharing $30,000 in awards supporting future careers connected to Delmarva’s chicken industry.
