Angel Park in Perry Hall Accepts $60,000 Donation

Rosedale Federal presented check for new park/playground planned for Honeygo Boulevard.

Rosedale Federal recently presented a big check—literally—toward a new park in Perry Hall.

Bank representatives furnished an enlarged, ceremonial version of the $60,000 check at a ceremony this week to celebrate the donation Rosedale Federal is putting toward Angel Park.

The community-driven project will feature a playground accessible to all children, including those with special needs, and an amphitheater for musical performances.

Organizations and individuals around the community have donated upwards of $800,000 toward the project, Angel Park Committee member Bill Paulshock recently told Patch.

This week’s check presentation took place at Rosedale Federal’s Perry Hall branch on Belair Road.

Park organizers and elected officials including Senator Kathy Klausmier, Councilman David Marks and Delegate Eric Bromwell were among those in attendance, according to a report from the Angel Park Committee. The event demonstrated “the strong support that we have in Perry Hall,” Paulshock said.

When built, the park will be located adjacent to the Perry Hall Library on Honegyo Boulevard. Construction is slated to begin in summer 2015.
