Fire in Perry Hall Was One of Two in Area on Saturday: Officials

PERRY HALL, MD — Firefighters battled two blazes in and around Perry Hall on Saturday.

At approximately 1:40 p.m., crews from the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company said they arrived at a residence on Dunrovin Lane in Perry Hall and found flames through the roof.

There was heavy fire coming from the single-story rancher, according to the Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company, which had crews and an engine assisting with the attack for three hours.

Hours earlier, firefighters had responded to a two-story Cape Cod in Hydes that was ablaze Saturday morning.

The Kingsville Volunteer Fire Company reported there was smoke showing from the home when crews arrived before 6:30 a.m. While fire was found on both floors and the attic, nobody was inside the home in the 12600 block of Regwood Road.

The house fire in Hydes affected traffic on Fork and Harford roads, according to the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which was among the crews that responded. Fallston and Bel Air crews also assisted.

Due to extensive overhaul, firefighters were reportedly at the scene of the morning blaze for four hours.
