4 Taken to Hospital after Fire Near Kingsville

Two adults and two children were taken to the hospital, Baltimore County officials said.

A house fire near Kingsville Monday morning sent two adults and two children to the hospital, according to Baltimore County Police & Fire.

The house fire in the 12400 block of Regwood Road was reported at 5:54 a.m., officials said. The Kingsville Fire Company responded, reporting heavy fire and requesting additional crews.

Approximately 20 pieces of equipment were called to assist, according to Baltimore County, which reported medic units took four civilians to Johns Hopkins Bayview, where their conditions were not known Monday afternoon.

Two of the victims were being treated for smoke inhalation and at least one of the adults had burns, Fox 45 reported. The burns were minor, according to White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company, which responded to the blaze.

Soon after 7 a.m., the fire had been knocked down but was not under control, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Harford Road was closed between Sunshine Avenue and Mount Vista Road for approximately two hours. It was closed at 6:32 a.m. and had reopened by 8:35 a.m., according to transportation officials.
