Perry Hall Crime: Bicyclist Assaulted; Store Burglars Have Key

A store was burglarized, a resident surprised a would-be burglar and other crimes were reported in Perry Hall and surrounding areas.

PERRY HALL, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department provided the following information about crimes in Perry Hall that happened in recent weeks. Police reported Wednesday that investigators have determined four commercial robberies in the Towson and White Marsh precincts appear to be related. The robberies happened between Feb. 15 and March 4.

Here are recent crimes reported in Perry Hall and surrounding areas:

Two people stole a safe and electronics from a store in Kingsville. Police said they used a key to get into the back of Swift Mobile in the 11700 block of Belair Road. The burglary happened at 11:43 p.m. on Sunday, March 15.

A bicyclist was assaulted in an attempted robbery on East Joppa Road at Silver Spring Road. The man was riding his bike at 10:15 p.m. on Friday, March 13, when two youths tried to take his bike. When they were unable to get it away from him, they assaulted him. He suffered a minor injury.

Jewelry and cash were stolen from a home in the 9200 block of Bowline Road. The burglary happened between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 9. Police said the back basement window was broken.

Someone arrived home to find a burglar inside a residence in the 9900 block of Belair Road. Police said the suspect used a small-handled axe to break into the home through a side window, then ran out once the resident got there. The burglary was reported at 9 a.m. on Saturday, March 7. The identity of the suspect is unknown.
