Wood Chipper Injury Sends Man By Medevac To Hospital: Officials
A man injured by a wood chipper was airlifted to shock trauma, Baltimore County fire officials said.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man working in a tree suffered critical injuries as the result of a wood chipper Thursday morning in northeastern Baltimore County, according to officials. He fell into or on the wood chipping machine, the Baltimore County Fire Department reported.
Firefighters were dispatched to the call at 11:34 a.m. on Thursday, June 20, according to fire officials. The worker was injured in the 10000 block of Harford Road, the department reported.
He was taken to a landing site about 1.1 mile away so that he could be airlifted for treatment.

The Maryland State Police helicopter landed at Pine Grove Middle School in the 9200 block of Old Harford Road, and it flew out just after noon, the fire department reported. Officials said the man was being medevaced to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center.
The 20-year-old man's arm was severed in the incident, The Baltimore Sun reported.
