Barricade Situation on Reisterstown Road Ends Peacefully: Baltmore Police
The man barricaded inside a residence near the Baltimore County line has been taken into custody, police said.

Serving a warrant took a volatile turn for a sheriff's deputy in Baltimore City Wednesday, resulting in an approximately eight-hour barricade and temporary evacuation.
At approximately 8:30 a.m. on Wednesday, the deputy approached a residence to serve a warrant when the person inside implied having a weapon, according to Baltimore Police spokesman T.J. Smith.
The warrant was for a domestic assault, and the residence was in the 6900 block of Reisterstown Road, where the person barricaded himself inside.

"We're hoping that we can bring resolution to this sooner rather than later," Smith said before noon Wednesday. He emphasized patience as the key to a successful resolution, stating tactical resources had been brought in to help.
After 5 p.m., Smith announced the man had been taken into custody.

At one point the man fired on those outside, who were taking tactical measures to try to get him to leave, Smith said. The suspect was uninjured when taken into custody. Police said he will not be identified until charges are filed.
Those living in the adjacent residences were briefly evacuated for precautionary reasons.
Closures were in effect because of the barricade.
According to Fox 45, Falstaff Shopping Center was closed because of the incident.
In addition, Reisterstown Road was closed between Labyrinth Road and Seven Mile Lane, between Baltimore City and Baltimore County, according to Smith.
Smith advised taking Park Heights Avenue as an alternate route.
