LifeBridge Health Cleans Out Clutter to Clean Up the Earth
Spring cleaning got off to a successful start this year for 115 people thanks to a special LifeBridge Health event.
A rainy gray morning recently didn’t dampen the spirits of the LifeBridge Health Sustainability Council and members of the community who turned out for the free Earth Day Shred-It and Recycle event.
More than 100 people from around the Baltimore area brought confidential papers and other documents to be shredded while they waited at Northwest Hospital and the Pimlico parking lot near Sinai and Levindale. In all, more than 14,000 pounds of paper were shredded at no cost to the public thanks to the Sustainability Council.
Community members also brought old electronics that had been gathering dust in basements and garages. The LifeBridge Health Sustainability Council accepted everything from DVDs to computers to telephones.

In addition, Northwest Hospital also held a yard sale the same day where bargain hunters could buy old office equipment, artwork and other interesting things at very reasonable prices.
The next LifeBridge Health Shred-It/E-Waste Recycling event is scheduled for this November.
