2026 Primary: Who's Running For Rockville
With submissions closed, Patch has compiled a list of the Rockville contenders vying for a county seat in the June primary.
ROCKVILLE, MD — With the filing deadline passed, the list of contenders vying for a county seat in the June primary election has been cemented.
In total, 17 Democrats are running for four at-large seats on the Montgomery County Council. Another seven candidates — five Democrats and two Republicans — are stepping up to take a stab at the county executive seat.
When it comes to the Montgomery County Board of Education, five candidates are looking to serve in an at-large posting.

- Election Day: June 23
- Register to vote or update your registration by Tuesday, June 2.

Mail-In Ballots
- To receive mail-in ballots by mail or fax, file a request by June 16.
- To receive mail-in ballots online, file by June 19.
- To receive mail-in ballots in person, request at your local board. Ballots must be postmarked by 8 p.m. on June 23 to meet the submission deadline.
