MoCo Police Identify Mother Killed In Pedestrian Crash

ROCKVILLE, MD — Montgomery County Police on Wednesday identified Raoudha Khelifi as the woman who died following a pedestrian crash in Rockville.

First responders were alerted to the crash Monday shortly before 8:30 p.m., near the intersection of Chapman Avenue and Twinbrook Parkway.

The 44-year-old Rockville woman was fatally hit by a car while walking in the crosswalk with her 4-year-old son.

Authorities said Khelifi was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Her son was hospitalized for minor injuries.

The man who was driving the car remained at the scene and is cooperating with officials, police said.

Montgomery County Police previously said the vehicle drove into an embankment during the incident. Neither the driver nor the passenger suffered any injuries.
