Superhero to Visit Downtown Bethesda Bars Friday Night
SoberWoman will visit five bars Friday with Montgomery County Police to make sure patrons plan safe rides home.

If you see a caped crusader at the bar Friday night, it’s not necessarily a sign you’ve overindulged.
SoberWoman will visit five bars in downtown Bethesda between 6 and 8 p.m. Friday, Dec. 12. Along the way, she will quiz bar patrons about their plans on getting home safely after drinking and give prizes to people who have plans in place, such as designating a sober driver or taking transit or a cab.
The Checkpoint Strikeforce campaign is deploying the new superhero to help Montgomery County Police with drunk driving awareness.
