World Series Champion Howard Johnson visits Tribute at Black Hill
Montgomery County Senior Living Community Thrilled to Host Former Pro Baseball Player
Former Pro Baseball player and World Series Champion Howard Johnson spoke to residents at Tribute at Black Hill at the Germantown senior living community on Monday, June 6th. Johnson visited with the residents as well as a number of community members and local Little League players, and shared stories about his time as a Major League Baseball player.
One of his key messages was that it’s actually a good thing to have people doubt you, because that gives you the determination to prove them wrong. He also shared many stories from his life and included a number of inspirational messages, including emphasizing the value of hard work.
“Our residents and guests were thrilled to meet HoJo,” said Dominic Fabrizio, Tribute at Black Hill’s Community Relations Director. “Hearing him reminisce about his career and teammates was a lot of fun. As the senior living population is mostly female, we have been making an effort to plan engaging events that appeal to men living here as well, and we are gratified that this event was a big hit for both the men and the women who live here!”
