• Road closures planned for Sea Gull Century bicycle ride (delmarvanow.com) — Salisbury drivers should prepare for major traffic changes on Oct. 3 as Salisbury University hosts the Sea Gull Century, bringing thousands of cyclists past campus and along key roads like Route 13, Milford Street and South Division Street. Several streets will be closed or restricted throughout the day, with police directing traffic and post-ride festivities centered on campus, so residents may want to plan alternate routes.
   

• Salisbury Man Sentenced to 45 Years for Firearm Drug Trafficking (wmdt.com) — A Salisbury man has been sentenced in Wicomico County Circuit Court to 45 years in prison, with 10 years without parole, for firearm-related cocaine trafficking tied to a Meadow Wood Drive home. Local prosecutors say the case shows an aggressive stance against drug-related violence after officers seized a gun, cocaine, pills, cannabis and manufacturing equipment during a 2023 search.
   

• Bomb threat at Wicomico County schools deemed not credible by law enforcement (coasttv.com) — Law enforcement searched every Wicomico County school overnight after a bomb threat mentioning all area elementary schools, but found nothing and deemed the threat not credible. Schools in and around Salisbury opened on time with heightened security, and officials urge anyone with information about the calls to contact local police or Crime Solvers.
