Iconic Silver Spring Penguin Mural Will Soon Be Unveiled In Original Location
The iconic Silver Spring mural "Penguin Rush Hour" will be unveiled March 27, Source of the Spring announced. It's been 11 years since the legendary penguin mural has been on view in Silver Spring. The 100-foot, 25-panel mural designed by local artist Sally Callmer shows penguins using the Metro system, holding briefcases and sitting on trains.

Montgomery County Police are continuing to investigate a January 25 armed robbery of an Exxon gas station on Colesville Road. On Tuesday, investigators released a surveillance video of the suspect and are asking for the public's help in identifying him.

96-Year-Old Farmer Can Keep Tiny Farm With New Tax Law
A new tax bill inspired by a 96-year-old farm owner in downtown Silver Spring should help him keep his one-acre farm. The Montgomery County Council approved a bill Tuesday that will allow owners of certain properties ranging in size from half an acre to less than three acres to receive an “Urban Agricultural Tax Credit” if the property is used for farming.

Chipotle To Shutter All 15 ShopHouse Locations, 3 In Maryland
Chipotle hoped to do for Asian food what they did for Mexican food, but it didn't quote work out. Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc. will shutter all 15 ShopHouse Southeast Asian Kitchen restaurants by March 17, according to reports. The Silver Spring restaurant is located at 935 Ellsworth Dr.
