Police Investigating String Of Car Vandalisms In Silver Spring
At least eight vehicles have been vandalized in the Silver Spring area this month, according to Montgomery County police.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Montgomery County police on Thursday released surveillance video of the person they believe is behind a string of vandalisms involving parked cars in Silver Spring.
The footage, embedded at the bottom of this post, appears to show the suspect driving through a residential neighborhood in a dark-colored car. Authorities are asking for the public's help in identifying the suspect and vehicle.
Police say they are investigating eight acts of vandalism that took place in February.

On Feb. 8, two residents in the 9000 block of Eton Rd. and a resident in the 9200 block of Saybrook Ave. told police that the windows to their parked vehicles were shot out by an "unknown type of projectile" overnight.
On Feb. 12, three residents in the 9100 block of Eton Rd. and two residents in the 9200 block of Saybrook Ave. filed identical reports, according to police.

Detectives are asking anyone who recognizes the suspect's vehicle or has additional information regarding these vandalism to contact police at 240-773-6870. Anonymous tipsters can also call the county's Crime Solvers at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). The organization is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
