Ross Dress for Less Grand Opening Set for Saturday
The Silver Spring Ross Dress for Less store will donate $2,500 to the Friends of the Library Montgomery County at its July 16 event.

Ross Dress for Less -- the off-price apparel and home fashion chain with more than 1,200 stores -- will open its 34th store in the Washington D.C. area, with the grand opening of a new store in Silver Spring on July 16.
The store is opening at Ellsworth Place, 8661 Colesville Road in Silver Spring. The renovated shopping area just celebrated the opening on Tuesday of Not Your Average Joe's restaurant.
As part of the grand opening ceremonies and in support of the local community, the Silver Spring Ross Dress for Less store will donate $2,500 to the Friends of the Library Montgomery County, MD – Silver Spring Chapter.

Additionally, the new store will give away $1,000 in Ross Dress for Less gift cards. From Saturday, July 16, to Sunday, July 24, customers may enter in-store for a chance to win a $500 shopping spree or one of five $100 shopping sprees.
The grand opening event starts at 9 a.m. Saturday, July 16.

Store hours are Sunday: 9:30 a.m. – 9:30 p.m.; Monday-Thursday: 9:30 a.m. – 10 p.m.; and Friday-Saturday: 9 a.m. – 10:30 p.m.
Silver Spring shoppers will find the same brand names carried in department and specialty stores priced at 20 percent to 60 percent less at Ross. The store will offer savings on the latest styles including apparel, shoes, accessories and home fashions.
Current anchor tenants at Ellsworth Place include Burlington Coat Factory, Marshalls, Michaels, Ross and T.J.Maxx.
Over the next 20 years, Ellsworth Place is projected to generate approximately $38.4 million in tax revenues for Montgomery County and to support 807 permanent full-time jobs in the county. During the construction phase, the renovation is projected to generate 253 temporary jobs. On a statewide level, Ellsworth Place is projected to generate $175 million in state tax revenues and support 881 permanent jobs, inclusive of those in Montgomery County.
