White Oak Apartment Fire Sends 3 People To The Hospital
The two-alarm fire was caused by a candle placed too close to combustibles, the Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue said.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Three people were sent to the hospital after a two alarm fire broke out in an apartment building on Lockwood Drive in White Oak Monday, the Chief Spokesperson for Montgomery County Fire & Rescue Service Pete Piringer said.
The fire at 11508 Lockwood Dr. sent two adults and one child to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries at around 11:30 a.m., Piringer said.

Three families were displaced from their homes due to the blaze, which was caused by a candle placed too close to combustibles, Piringer reports.
Piringer estimates the damages are around $160,000.
