Cathedral Choral Society Presents Its 8th CELEBRATE YOUTH! High School Choir Festival

Washington's Cathedral Choral Society, DC's oldest ensemble choir, is hosting its Eighth Annual CELEBRATE YOUTH—a combined high school choir festival on Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at the Washington National Cathedral at 7:00 p.m.  The concert is open to all and is free.

For this annual event, CCS brings together choirs from public, charter and independent schools in the District of Columbia. The Festival is a one-day experience for about 300 young singers, plus an orchestra, who come together to rehearse and socialize.  The day culminates in a concert in the National Cathedral, located at Wisconsin and Massachusetts Avenues, NW.

The Festival's narrator is Emmy award-winning NBC4 Anchor Barbara Harrison, who is known for her support of the community and children. The festival director is Benjamin Hutto, director of performing arts at St. Albans and National Cathedral Schools.
