Love to write? Hopkins Montgomery County will be hosting Creative Writing workshops led by WritopiaLab, a non-profit organization, for students ranging from ages 8 through teens. Classes will begin on January 9th and run through March 18th. Enrollment is ongoing and the total cost is $525 per writer. There is a sliding scale payment plan available for those with financial need and fees will be prorated for students who enroll late. A maximum of six participants will be permitted per class to ensure students get personalized attention from an award-winning writer and experienced teacher. Students will leave the course with at least one finished and polished original writing sample. After participation in the program, writers are encouraged to submit their writing to different publications and contests as numerous Writopia students have won both regional and national Scholastic Writing Awards!
