Prostitute And Accomplice Rob, Beat Man: Takoma Park Police

A man was robbed at gunpoint and beaten with a bat by a woman he made contact with over an internet prostitution page and another man.

TAKOMA PARK, MD — A Takoma Park resident was robbed at gunpoint and beaten with a bat by a woman he made contact with over an internet prostitution page and her male accomplice, Takoma Park Police announced Tuesday.

At about 2:28 p.m. Monday, Takoma Park Police were called to the 1200 block of Myrtle Avenue for the report of a home invasion robbery.

The homeowner was in the back bedroom of his house when he heard someone banging on his door. When he answered the door, he was accosted by a male suspect holding a gun and was told to hand over his money, police said.

The man didn't comply to the demand and a physical fight ensued. A female suspect than became involved and hit the man with a bat, police told Patch.

The suspects grabbed money and other personal property belonging to the man and fled the home, police said. The man was transported to the Washington Adventist Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigation revealed that the man had made contact with a woman through an internet prostitution page, and when the woman appeared at his residence, he had changed his mind. The female left his home and brought back with her the male suspect with a gun in order to compensate themselves for the prostitute’s time, police told Patch.

The male suspect is described by police as a tall black male with dreads who was last seen wearing jeans and a camouflage jacket. The woman is described as a black woman standing anywhere from 4 feet to 5 feet and weighing about 100 pounds. She was last seen wearing white leggings, police said.
