23-Year-Old Dies in Weekend Wreck in Towson, Police Say

A fatal crash into a tree on Fairmount Avenue is under investigation.

TOWSON, MD — A 23-year-old man died over the weekend when his car hit a tree on Fairmount Avenue, according to the Baltimore County Police Department.

The man is not being identified until officials have notified his next of kin.

Police said the man died at approximately 11:44 p.m. on Saturday, when he was driving a 2002 Toyota Camry west on Fairmount Avenue. His vehicle hit the median east of Towson Gate Drive and then struck a tree, according to officials.

When first responders arrived, the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nobody else was in the Camry besides the driver, according to police.

Authorities said the crash investigation may take several weeks to complete.
