Baltimore Ravens Pause Game to Watch Michael Phelps Swim in 2016 Olympics

The Ravens-Panthers game briefly stopped for Olympic swimming broadcast on the Jumbotron at M&T Bank Stadium.

BALTIMORE, MD — The Baltimore Ravens took a break from their preseason opener Thursday night at M&T Bank Stadium to watch Rodgers Forge native Michael Phelps swim in the 200-meter individual medley.

The Ravens and Carolina Panthers paused as Phelps swam his way to his 22nd Olympic gold medal, and fans watched the race broadcast on the Jumbotron at the Baltimore stadium.

Phelps was not the only one with a win Thursday night; the Ravens beat the Panthers, 22-19.
