Havre de Grace area schools were on a modified lockdown Friday morning due to police activity for a little more than an hour, according to school officials. Five schools were affected by the issue until the lockdowns were lifted.

Hurricane Dorian made landfall over Cape Hatteras Friday morning en route to Southern Maryland, which may get whipped with windy conditions that could topple trees, and the Eastern Shore could become significantly affected by flooding. The storm chased drivers away from Ocean City's inlet, and affected Bay Bridge traffic.
