Burglars Hit York Road Saloon: Towson Crime

Three Mondays in a row, criminals were on the prowl in Towson, according to Baltimore County police.

TOWSON, MD — The Baltimore County Police Department has provided the following information about recent incidents in the Towson precinct.

A woman was robbed of her cell phone at gunpoint while she was standing on Meridian Lane at Willow Avenue. The victim had been talking to her friend at approximately 5:20 p.m. when someone she knew pointed a handgun at her and took her phone. The suspect left after the armed robbery, which occurred on Monday, Oct. 10.

A bottle of alcohol was stolen from Souris' Saloon. The suspects got into the bar in the 500 block of York Road through a back door that was unlocked. Officials said the burglary happened sometime between 4:50 and 5 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 3.

A stranger approached an individual sitting in a vehicle in the 8400 block of Loch Raven Boulevard and tried to rob the person, but the victim had no money. The suspect, who had implied a gun, left empty-handed. The attempted robbery occurred at 8:50 p.m. on Monday, Sept. 26.
