Crash on I-695 Near Charles Street Clears

Traffic was congested on the inner loop of I-695 Friday afternoon just past the exit for Charles Street.

Two vehicles crashed around 1:50 p.m., according to the Coordinated Highways Action Response Team (CHART).

The right lane and right shoulder were closed, with the left lane getting by, CHART reported at 2 p.m.

Police have asked citizens to stay off the roads if possible.

By 4 p.m. the crash had cleared.
