Daly Named President of the Board of The Arc Baltimore

Erik Daly, Business Development Director at BDO USA, LLP, has been named President of the Board of Directors of The Arc Baltimore.

Daly, who joined The Arc Baltimore’s Board in 2015 and previously served on the Finance Committee, as Treasurer, and most recently, as Vice President of the Board, was elected to his new post at the organization’s recent Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony.

A 23-year veteran of the financial services industry who leads BDO’s sales and marketing efforts throughout the Baltimore region, Daly was also honored at the Awards Ceremony with the President’s Cup, presented annually to that Board member who has distinguished him- or herself by providing exemplary service to The Arc.

Other officers elected during The Arc Baltimore’s Annual Meeting were:

• Jill M. Vocci, O.D. (Pediatric and Adult Optometrist at Pediatric Eye Care of Maryland), who was named Vice President;
• Gregory J. Hogan (Managing Director, SC&H Capital), who was reelected Treasurer;
• J. Patrick Miles (Senior Manager, AVP – Distribution & Marketing Enablement, T. Rowe Price), who was elected Secretary; and
• Thomas Sand (Partner, Ernst & Young, LLP), who will serve as Past President after serving as President for the past two years.

“Each of these individuals brings tremendous skills and experience to our Board of Directors,” says The Arc’s Chief Executive Officer, Kathleen McNally Durkin. “While the coming year will present new challenges and opportunities as we come out of COVID, I am very confident that with the leadership of this Board we are up to the task.”

In addition to the election of officers, The Arc Baltimore’s 2021 Annual Meeting and Awards Ceremony featured the election of several new board members and award recognitions for those who have gone above and beyond in their service to The Arc Baltimore.

“The hard work and dedication of our Board, all of our award recipients and nominees, and so many others, is the critical component which enables The Arc Baltimore to support people with developmental disabilities to lead fulfilling lives with a sense of belonging, purpose, and meaningful relationships,” Durkin concludes.
