Driver In Deadly Towson Hit And Run Pleads Guilty To One Charge
A driver admitted that he left the scene of a deadly crash on Dec. 8, 2018, on North Charles Street.

TOWSON, MD — The man charged in the crash that killed a Towson student in December 2018 has pleaded guilty to one charge. As part of the agreement, the other charges were dropped.
Man Bahadur Gurung, 36, of the 1400 block of Chesaco Avenue, was indicted on six charges, from failing to stop at the scene of an accident involving injury or death to failure of the driver involved in a crash to render reasonable assistance.
Gurung entered a guilty plea for the charge of failing to immediately stop his vehicle at the scene of an accident resulting in death on Saturday, Dec. 8, court records show.

Mzimazisi Ncube, 20, of the 300 block of Burke Avenue, had been trying to cross North Charles Street south of Ruxton Ridge Road when he was hit by a Toyota Tundra that continued north on North Charles Street around 10:30 p.m., officials said. Ncube had been studying accounting at Towson University.
A Mercedes also hit him, and that driver remained and called 911, police said.

Gurung said he thought he hit a deer, according to the Baltimore Sun, which cited court documents in which he also said he didn't stop because of traffic behind him on North Charles Street.
Sentencing is set for Dec. 13 in Baltimore County Circuit Court.
