Michael Phelps Wins 19th Olympic Gold Medal
The Olympian swam Sunday in the 100-meter freestyle relay.

RIO DE JANEIRO, BRAZIL — The most decorated Olympian of all time has one more medal to add to his trove of Olympic treasures.
Michael Phelps, 31, helped push Team USA past the French during the second leg of the 4x100 meter freestyle relay on Sunday. The team won the gold medal for the event, with a time of 3:09.92, followed by the French (3:10.53) and Australian (3:11.37) swimmers.
Caeleb Dressel kicked off the four-person race, and after Phelps jumped in, he propelled Team USA into first place, with teammates Ryan Held and Nathan Adrian maintaining the level of intensity for the first-place win.

Phelps has 23 medals from the Olympics, including 19 golds.

Next up, he will compete in the 200-meter butterfly Monday/Tuesday, the 200-meter medley Wednesday and 100-meter butterfly Thursday, televised on NBC.
