Special Delivery: Nyquist Arrives at Pimlico

The Kentucky Derby winner posed for the camera upon arriving by plane at BWI before making his way to Pimlico Race Course.

BALTIMORE, MD – Kentucky Derby winner Nyquist planted his hooves on Maryland soil this week.

Arriving at Baltimore Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) after 4 p.m. from Louisville, Ky., Nyquist traveled with police escort to Pimlico Race Course, the L.A. Times reported.

He will train with eyes on the second jewel in the Triple Crown.

Trainer Jack Sisterson reportedly said that he would not be working too hard leading up to the race to ensure that Nyquist is fresh when race time comes.

The Preakness Stakes will be at 6:45 p.m. on Saturday, May 21, at Pimlico Race Course, 5201 Park Heights Avenue.
