Purses Stolen in Home Burglaries: Towson Crime

Several Towson residents have had their purses stolen this week, according to Baltimore County Police.

The following recent crime reports were provided by the Towson Precinct of the Baltimore County Police Department. All crimes listed are included in the map pictured with the article.

A purse was stolen from a home in the 200 block of Dunkirk Road where a stranger looked in the window, saw a purse on the floor, reached in and stole it. The burglary occurred at 1:24 p.m. on Monday, Dec. 21.

The cleaning crew at a business in the 1700 block of Taylor Avenue saw someone stealing a gaming machine. There was no sign of forced entry in the burglary, which occurred at 5:27 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. The suspect ran away.

Someone broke the glass out of the front door to a business in the 1700 block of Taylor Avenue and stole cash from the register. The burglary happened at 1:11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19.

A purse was stolen from a residence in the unit block of Alabama Court at 10:16 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. The burglar kicked open the back door to get inside.

A purse was stolen from a kitchen in a home in the 700 block of Anneslie Road sometime between 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, and 7:45 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 19. The burglar got into the home through an unlocked back door.

Multiple items were taken from an apartment in the 200 block of Burke Avenue over the weekend after a stranger pried open the front door. The burglary happened between 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, and 6:30 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 20.

A woman was robbed in the 8200 block of Bon Air Road at 7 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. The victim was pushed to the ground, and her purse was taken.

Several items were taken during a home burglary in the 6600 block of Sherwood Road between 8 a.m. and noon on Friday, Dec. 18. The burglar got into the residence through the back door.

A store was robbed in the 1300 block of Taylor Avenue early Friday morning. At 5:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18, an individual with a handgun went into a store, demanded money and ordered the cashier to the ground. The suspect left by bicycle.

A business was burgled in the 8600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard between 2:38 and 4:15 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. The suspect broke the back door window pane to get inside.

The cash drawer was taken from a restaurant in the 1600 block of East Joppa Road, then tossed in the parking lot. The burglar broke the glass to the side entrance door of the restaurant at approximately 2:30 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18.

A drive-through window was broken in the 1600 block of East Joppa Road between 2 and 4 a.m. on Friday, Dec. 18. The suspect went into the manager’s office, but nothing was found missing.

Several things were stolen during a home burglary in the 6900 block of Kenleigh Road. The suspect forced open the back door to the home sometime between 9:15 a.m. and 4:40 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17.

A window air conditioning unit was removed from the choir office in the 1200 block of Taylor Avenue. The burglary occurred at 2:23 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17.

Nothing was taken during a break-in reported in the 300 block of Centre Avenue. The suspect got in through the side door sometime between 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 16, and 8:45 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 17.
