Towson Barnes & Noble Plans Farewell Party On Saturday
All are welcome at the party to say goodbye to the Towson Circle Barnes & Noble on Saturday, June 10.

TOWSON, MD - Barnes & Noble will celebrate its last day in Towson with a party for the community.
The Joppa Road store will be closing after business on Saturday, June 10.
A daylong party will allow community members to say goodbye to their beloved bookstore.

Trivia, crafts, dance party and costume contest are part of the celebration, which runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, at Barnes & Noble, 1 East Joppa Road, Towson.
Refreshments, giveaways and raffles will be taking place all day.

Here is the schedule of events, according to Barnes & Noble:
- 1 p.m. Book Trivia
- 2 p.m Sci-Fi Movie Trivia
- 2:30 p.m. Bowl Guessing Game
- 3 p.m. Music Trivia
- 3:30 p.m. Categories Game
- 4 p.m. Movie Trivia
- 4:30 p.m. Quotes Game (Simile)
- 5 p.m. Music Trivia
- 5:30 p.m. React & Act Game
- 6 p.m. Famous Quotes Movie Trivia
- 7 p.m. Disney Movie Trivia
- 8 p.m. Costume Contest: Dress as your favorite book character, movie character, or musician.
- 9 p.m. Dance Party
Events for Kids in the Children’s Department
- 10 a.m.: Coloring, Crafts, Games and Refreshments
- 11 a.m.: “Oh The Places You’ll Go” Storytime
- 12 p.m.: Costume Contest: Dress as your favorite book character.
- 12:30 p.m.: Dance Party!
Bargain hunters will find a bounty of clearance items. What does not sell will be shipped back to Barnes & Noble.
The bookseller's closure comes as Retail Properties of America plans to redevelop Towson Circle. Already, Trader Joe's moved its location to make way for the construction project, which calls for high-rise apartments.
Once the store closes on June 10, the closest Barnes & Noble locations will be in White Marsh, Pikesville and the Inner Harbor.
