A beloved Mass. donut shop is charting a South Shore expansion
Union Square Donuts is opening a new location at the Derby Street Shops in Hingham later this summer. The Somerville-based business, founded in 2012, is best known for its homemade donuts with fun flavor combinations and crafted coffee menu.
New neighborhood cafe opening second Mass. location
Daily Provisions, an all-day neighborhood cafe, officially opened its newest Greater Boston location this week in the Seaport.
The cafe opened on Wednesday at Commonwealth Pier, located at 200 Seaport Blvd., marking Daily Provisions’ second location in the Greater Boston area following its Harvard Square debut last summer.
Central Mass. McDonald’s employee accused of contaminating food in viral video
A video showing an employee at a fast food restaurant in Worcester County allegedly contaminating food has gone viral, prompting an investigation by local authorities and health officials. The Southbridge Police Department said it has received numerous calls, online tips and media inquiries since the video surfaced online.
The incident occurred at a McDonald’s in Southbridge, according to Boston 25 News. The station reported the video appears to show an employee putting fries in her mouth before repackaging them for customers.
Beloved grocer opening its first smaller-format store in Mass.
Whole Foods announced Monday that it will open its smaller-format store concept, Whole Foods Market Daily Shop, at 111 Harbor Way in Boston’s Seaport neighborhood.
The company announced plans to expand its smaller stores in the coming years, with a lease signed in Boston and additional leases in Chicago and Philadelphia.
