MA Man Charged With 'Substantial Bank Fraud' At Tiverton Casino: Cops

The fraud totaled $85,000, police said.

TIVERTON, RI — A Massachusetts man was charged with committing "substantial bank fraud" at Bally's Tiverton Casino, police said.

Cameron D. Webbe, 27, was arrested shortly after 9 p.m. Saturday by the Rhode Island State Police Gaming Enforcement Unit, the state police said in a media release.

Webbe, a resident of Mattapan, was charged with bank fraud,obtaining money under false pretenses, passing counterfeit certificates, bills or notes, conspiracy to commit bank fraud, conspiracy to obtain money under false pretenses, and conspiracy to pass counterfeit certificates, bill or notes, according to the release.

Webbe's arrest was the "result of a Gaming Enforcement Unit investigation and securing an arrest warrant related to substantial bank fraud activity that occurred during the month of December 2025, totaling over $85,000, at several cashier cages of Bally's Twin River Lincoln Casino Resort and Bally's Tiverton Casino Hotel," the release said.

Two other Massachusetts men, including one from Mattapan, were arrested the following day on identical charges to Webbe's, according to a state police media release.

Brian Elliott, 28, and James Perry, 29, were also arrested by theGaming Enforcement Unit, the release said.

Webbe was processed at the Lincoln Woods Barracks and appeared in front of a bail commissioner, as were Elliot and Perry, according to police

The three men were each released on $25,000 personal recognizance bail, police said.

State police Lt. Col. Robert Creamer failed to respond to a request for further information about the arrests.
