Massachusetts Health Officials Confirm 2 Cases Of Measles Diagnosed

The first case was reported in a school-aged Massachusetts resident who was exposed and diagnosed out of state and remains out of state during the infectious period. Meanwhile, the second case was diagnosed in an adult who lives in Greater Boston who recently returned from international travel and has an uncertain vaccination history. The person reportedly visited several locations where exposure to others likely occurred. State and local public health officials are working with those locations to identify and notify those who may be affected.

Sudbury Police Dispatcher Injured While Serving U.S. Navy During Conflict With Iran

Police Dispatcher Owen Gerow was hurt during the current conflict with Iran, the police department announced on Sunday. The department said it greatly appreciates the support the local community has shown Gerow and the Sudbury police since the announcement. The U.S. and Israel launched a major attack on Iran on Saturday, which led to the death of Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei among others.

The unique bird is believed to be on its way back to the Bay State after an extended vacation in Mexico. They are expected to arrive during a specific time in the spring, before eventually making their way back over the border in the fall. Some of the ruby-throated hummingbirds will be merely passing through Massachusetts on their way farther north as they migrate all the way to Canada.

North Shore Spa Shuttered After Sex Trafficking, Prostitution Raid

FeiFei L Spa on Boston Street in Topsfield was shuttered after police said a months-long investigation into sexual activity at the location led to a search warrant for evidence of prostitution and human trafficking. Police said the investigation led to a cease-and-desist order filed against owner Chaolin Feng, who has since terminated her lease.

3 Hospitalized After Crash Involving Police Cruiser In Hyannis

Police and emergency services responded to the scene at Route 28 and Bearses Way in Hyannis Friday night after a collision that involved a police cruiser and two other vehicles. Police did not disclose the names or conditions of those who were hospitalized, or whether the officer driving the cruiser was injured.

1 Person Dead After Mission Hill Fire

Crews responded to the two-alarm blaze at 4 Ellingwood Street shortly after 3 p.m. on Friday to discover flames and heavy smoke emanating from the townhouse residence. One person was later found deceased on the third floor. The incident is now under investigation by the department's Fire Investigation Unit and police detectives.
