Acton Car Break-Ins Result in Broken Windows, Stolen Technology

Acton police say that the crime appears to be similar to the activity of the "Felony Lane Gang" group.

ACTON, MA—Acton police responded to Jazzercise in Acton Wednesday evening attending to car break-ins that resulted in broken windows and several pieces of expensive technology.

Deputy police chief Richard Burrows announced Thursday that police responded to the 423 Great Rd. address after reports of car windows smashed and items stolen at approximately 6:45 p.m. Police say that the crime appears to be similar to the activity of the "Felony Lane Gang" group.

Police reported several backpacks, laptops, purses with checkbooks and credit cards as well as an iPod stolen during the incident. One of the cell phones stolen was tracked and recovered on Main St. between Taylor Rd. and Coughlin St.

The Felony Lane Gang has been connected to several break-ins in Weston as well as crimes in Pelham, NH, Salem, NH, Waltham, Braintree, Foxborough and towns in Connecticut.

The group has netted more than $1 million from victims across the east coast.

Acton police recommended not leaving valuables in your vehicles, and if you do to secure them and not leave them in plain sight.
