ANDOVER, MA -- Wednesday was National Letter of Intent Day, the day when high school athletes commit to NCAA Division I and Division II college programs. Andover High School had 12 students sign letters -- enough that the school hosted a ceremony for the students and their families.
Among the students who signed letters on Wednesday:

- Callie Wiley, Ice Hockey, St. Michaels College
- Connor Fu, Tennis, University of Notre Dame
- Dan Blatman, Football, Sacred Heart

- Delia Barbanti, Track, Boston University
- Julia Donahue, Swimming, Boston College
- Jordan Clements, Swimming, Merrimack College

The letters are binding contracts between the athlete and the university that outlines the terms of their scholarship and ensures their commitment to play at a particular school.
