Align Credit Union to Offer Downpayment Assistance to First-Time Homebuyers

Align Credit Union has been awarded a $110,000 grant by the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston for the purpose of helping local first-time homebuyers with the downpayment and closing costs on a first home.

Qualified applicants are eligible to receive up to $11,000. To qualify, applicants must be first-time homebuyers and meet the low-to-moderate income requirement. Recipients must have a signed Purchase and Sales Agreement to reserve the funds and must complete homebuyer counseling. Funds are limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis.
