Andover Ranked as One of Best School Districts for the Buck

Andover Schools offers parents one of the best values for their money in Massachusetts, according to a new study from consumer advocacy site NerdWallet.

NerdWallet crunched census and state education data to identify high quality schools in affordable communities - and out of 266 school districts - Andover ranked among the top 20.

NerdWallet determined school quality by looking at standardized test scores, college readiness and class size.

School quality was then weighted against affordability metrics to produce a list that is not dominated by some of the more expensive communities - six of the top 10 communities have median home values under $450,000.

The median home value in Andover is $546,500. The average class size is 14.1.
