Andover Police Department: Andover Reserve Officer Derrek Deranian Saves Heroin Overdose Victim

Reserve Officer Derrek Deranian was working a construction/traffic control detail on Monday on Dascomb Road near the Tewksbury Line when he saw someone performing CPR on an individual in the back seat of a vehicle waiting in traffic.

Officer Deranian ran over to the car and took quick action, according to police, pulled the patient out of the vehicle and began CPR with the aid of the vehicle passenger.

Andover Fire-Rescue responded and administered NARCAN prior to transport to the hospital.
