The Andover Garden Club's annual meeting will be held at the Andover Country Club on Tuesday, May 3. The event begins at 9:30 AM with coffee, followed by meeting and program, and ends with a luncheon. The cost is $15 for members and $30 for guests, and reservations must be made by April 28. Contact program cochair Sandra Clevesy at 978-475-1640 or sclevesy@gmail.com.
The program will be a floral demonstration by New York City–based designer Lisa Oberholzer-Gee (http://lgeefloral.weebly.com/). With a Longwood Garden floral-design certificate in hand, Oberholzer-Gee started a business in Cambridge MA, creating designs for events, weddings, and private functions. She was selected by Macy's to make a display for the Macy Flower Show in Boston, and she created West Wing displays for Art in Bloom.
Intrigued with floral-design techniques from Europe and Asia, Oberholzer-Gee has incorporated them into her floral art. She has been instructed by Gregor Lersch of Germany and has traveled to Belgium and Thailand to explore floral techniques. This past fall, she began studying at the Pratt Design Institute.
