Girls Fend Off Acton-Boxboro at the Garden
The Andover girls varsity basketball team took down the Acton-Boxboro team in the MIAA north championship.
The girls from Andover took a trip to the city and are coming back tonight with a victory. The Lady Warriors basketball squad took down the Acton-Boxboro team this afternoon in the MIAA north championship. Team captain Nicole Boudreau even had a half court buzzer beater at one point in the game.
Acton-Boxboro had momentum throughout the game and could keep up, trailing by 11 at the half mark. However, A-B could not keep up with the girls from Andover and ended up losing, 57-51.
The Lady Warriors are now heading back to the TD Garden Monday, March 14, to face the winners of the Friday evening match-up consisting of Mansfield High School versus New Bedford High School.
