Local Realtor Behind Girls' Academy Fundraiser

Local realtor, Lillian Montalto, of Lillian Montalto Signature Properties in Andover, is one of the driving forces behind the ‘Reason to Believe’ campaign – a mission which focuses on the creation of a girls’ academy for at-risk youth living in Lawrence’s Latina community.

Bellesini Academy, which was founded in 2002, is a very successful, private, middle school dedicated to providing quality scholarship education to boys from limited financial means living in Lawrence. Montalto, who is on the committee, says the ultimate goal for the campaign is to raise enough funds so that young women can also gain entrance into the academy. “We plan on adding one grade level per year, over the next 4 years, and ensuring that each class, each girl, has the appropriate support so as to move on to a brilliant and fulfilling future,” says Montalto.

To kick off the campaign, a fundraiser will be held at the Andover Country Club on Saturday, October 17th from 7-11 pm. Rick Larrimore, whose appearance and voice are almost indistinguishable to Rod Stewart will be the entertainment for the night. In addition, there will be food, drinks, and lots of dancing.
