The Real School of Music Welcomes Students, Faculty of Boston Music Center

ANDOVER, MA - May 2015 -­ The Real School of Music LLC has announced that Boston Music Center of Andover, MA has merged operations with Real School’s Andover location, effective April 27, 2015.

Boston Music Center has provided music lessons to hundreds of students in the Ballardvale section of Andover since 2011. As part of Real School, BMC families will immediately benefit from exciting opportunities to join bands and ensembles, participate in musical theater and A Cappella groups, enroll in audio production classes, and join the popular RealJams Academy full­day summer music program.

Boston Music Center founder, John McElfresh explains, “We’re tremendously excited to move into Real School’s modern, 10,000 square foot facility. This new space makes it easy for our students to make new friends, collaborate with other musicians, and participate in programs we could never offer before.” It has also been announced that Mr. McElfresh will serve as General Manager for Real School Andover effective immediately.

“We are very excited to welcome the students and faculty of Boston Music Center to the Real School family,” wrote Thomas Byrne, Real School’s CEO. “Together, we will now deliver lessons to over 700 weekly students, firmly establishing Real School as the premier provider of music education to the greater Merrimack Valley.”
