Arlington Greenlights 2 Marijuana Shops
Eskar and Apothca plan to open retail marijuana stores on Broadway and Massachusetts Ave., respectively.
ARLINGTON, MA — The Select Board approved two applications for marijuana shops Monday night. Eskar LLC, which plans to open on Broadway in East Arlington, and Apothca Inc., which wants to relocate from Water Street to Massachusetts Ave., were given the green light, according to YourArlington.
The board heard from two other applicants — Calyx Peak of Ma. Inc., which is eyeing the former Nicola Pizza location on Mass. Ave., and Metro Harvest Inc., which wants to open at a former cleaners on Mass. Ave.
YourArlington reported only one shop may be located in the Heights due to a required 2,000-foot distance between stores.
