Arlington Community Education (ACE) is accepting submissions of artwork for their annual cover art contest. The deadline is June 15, 2020. Winning artists will receive $250 and exposure to an audience of more than 50,000 in exchange for use of their artwork.
“This year we’re opening our contest a little earlier than usual. This has been an incredibly challenging time for everyone. But sometimes adversity can spark creativity. We’re hoping this contest can inspire artists to bring more beauty into the world at a time when it’s needed most,” said ACE Director Jen Rothenberg.
All mediums are welcome, including watercolor, acrylics, prints, photography, oil, collage, quilting, assemblage, stained glass, etching, handmade paper and mosaic. This contest is open to artists high-school-aged and up.
Artists can submit up to four pieces for consideration. Pieces from four different artists will be selected for the 2020-2021 season, to be featured on the cover of the Fall 2020, Winter 2021, Spring 2021 and Summer 2021 catalogs.
