ARLINGTON, MA—Businesses licensed to sell alcohol will be examined by the Arlington Police Department over the next several months.

“It is our sincere hope that we will find all of our license holders in compliance and we hope that our compliance checks will ensure ongoing vigilance on the part of licensees and their employees,” Chief Ryan said in Tuesday’s statement. “These regular checks work to prevent the sale and consumption of alcohol to underage residents in town.”

Police will be conducting checks over the next several months, and will continue to do so periodically.
