Arlington Makes List Of Top 20 Small Cities In America
Six Massachusetts communities made the list of top 20 small cities in America.
ARLINGTON, MA — Folks across the country are settling in small cities and suburbs as an alternative to bustling city life. A recent WalletHub report ranked the top 20 best small cities in the country, and Arlington made the cut.
WalletHub, a personal-finance website, compared more than 1,200 U.S. cities with populations between 25,000 and 100,000 across 42 key indicators of livability to create the prestigious list. They range from housing costs to school-system quality to restaurants per capita.
Arlington came in at number 18 with a total score of 69.11. Categories used to rank the municipalities include education and health, quality of life, and safety. Arlington ranked seventh in safety, sixth in health and education and 247th in quality of life.
