Arlington Municipal Buildings Reopen Tuesday As Schools Remain Closed
The snow emergency and parking ban also ended early Tuesday morning.
ARLINGTON, MA — A major blizzard hit Massachusetts on Monday, and many communities in are dealing with well over one foot of snow.
Parts of Middlesex County received more than 16 inches of snow, according to the National Weather Service. Arlington took precautions ahead of the storm, including closing schools and non-essential town offices on Monday.
While public schools remained closed on Tuesday for a second straight day, the townwide snow emergency and parking ban was lifted at 7 a.m. In addition, Town Hall Administrative Offices and Libraries have reopened after the one-day hiatus.

While the parking ban is lifted, the town is still asking drivers to be cautious when parking on streets to not obstruct potential emergency vehicles and other traffic that needs to pass.
Trash and recycling collection remains delayed by one day.
