Arlington Officer Injured While Attending to Car Crash

The officer's cruiser was struck twice Monday.

ARLINGTON, MA—An Arlington police was injured while attending to a car crash on Paul Revere Rd. Monday in Arlington.

Capt. Richard Flynn told Patch that the officer's cruiser was struck by two different vehicles while attending to an original accident at 5:15 p.m. on Monday evening. The officer voiced concerns of back pain and was transported to Winchester Hospital. He was later discharged from the hospital at 7:45 p.m.

Flynn told Patch that the officer had returned to his cruiser to write information down when his cruiser was struck by a car that lost control. The officer later called a street supervisor and returned to his cruiser once again before the second vehicle struck the cruiser.

No other injuries were reported, and no citations were issued as of Tuesday.
