Arlington Police Urge Use of Safe Return Program for 'At Risk, Special Needs' Residents

Residents are asked to fill out the APD's 'Vital Emergency Information Form' for loved ones with special needs or disabilities.

ARLINGTON, MA — The Arlington Police are asking residents to take part in the department's Safe Return Program. Residents who have friends or loved ones suffering from Alzheimer's, Dementia, Autism, and other cognitive disorders are encouraged to fill out APD's 'Vital Emergency Information Form' with as much information about their loved one as possible.

The program is aimed to better assist those that have special needs or disabilities. The information will be used when a 'at risk' resident is found or is missing, in order to return loved ones to their homes as quick and safely as possible.

Residents are asked to complete the form as completely and as accurately as possible, and return to APD, by mail (112 Mystic Street, Arlington MA 02474 ATTN: Safe Return), or by email to JWalsh@town.Arlington.ma.us.
